Can an employer force an employee to use a social networking site, claiming it is part of their job duty, even though the employee does not want to? Can the employee be legally fired over not doing so?

Unless you are a union member or under contract, an employer can fire you for any reason, even a nonsensical one. However, the employer cannot use race, sex, religion, or national origin for a reason to fire you.

With that in mind, what are you required to do on the social networking site and is it really a part of your job description? Also, why don't you want to do it?.
