Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

I worked at 7-eleven and had to disclose that I was convicted of a crime on my application. So of course I did. I later find out my boss told all the other employees about my criminal background in detail. Is this legal?

Yes, your conviction is public information but you should look at the positive, you have a job. Perhaps, you should talk to your boss -in private- and tell him that you don;t want to bring up the past and you would rather look forward to a bright future.
