Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Wrongfull termination/Blackballing

I worked for a mid sized corporation in NY. I was employed in middle mangement. I was terminated for making an administrative mistake. I asked that company policies be shown to me outlining to rules for what I did. They could not produce them. I was in turn terminated entirely. There were at least seven other people in the same title that were asked to step down to lower positions. Their infractions were as serious as workers comp fraud. None of them were fired outright. I was the only white male of all of them. I have been looking for work in the same industry for which I am more than qualified andI cannt get an interview for posted jobs. I believe that in this small industry that I am trained in, that my former employer has blacklisted me in order to preventcompetition. Do I have any recourse?

Possibly, if you believe can show evidence that your termination was on the basis of racial discrimination it is possible that your termination can be actionable. You may want to speak to a lawyer who specializes in Employment Law about your problem.
