Legal Question in Military Law in New York

unsure if i need a lawyer

I have worked with my local veterans service and just sent an appeal to washington to upgrade my other than honorable discharge.my question is if i need a lawyer or not.i am not sure if they are just trying to keep me happy and making it look like something is getting done.i served in iraq for a year and feel that my case really needs to be looked at. i didn't know that all this can be worked out by mail like they are telling me.

The problem is that no lawyer can answer your question as you didn't say what the initial problem was and what your basis for seeking an upgrade is.

Generally speaking, a lawyer with military law experience in my experience, generally will increase the odds of your getting relief. But, with out reviewing your file and package, its impossible to even guess.

Email me more specifics and I'll try and give a better opinion. [email protected]

You generally do better if at some point you have a personal appearance. However, when you request a personal appearance is dependent on many factors. Whether a lawyer can help also depends on your type of case and what your issues are. You can get a free evaluation, by emailing us.
