Legal Question in Traffic Law in New York

traffic law career

I want to study how to fight traffic tickets in NY but I don't know if is neccesary to be a lawyer or if I can do it with other kind of studies

You may not represent someone in traffic court if you are not a lawyer. It would be considered an unlawful practice of law. You do not have to be a lawyer to consult on the workings of police departments, or on the working of various radar guns and other hi tech gadgetry.

Criminal Justice may be a good major or even criminology. Law however is the BEST ;)

It is illegal to represent another person other than oneself in any court in the State of New York or any other state in the U.S.
