Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

My dad has a will in NY..I was named executor of the will. I have 3 sibblings

can they apply for letters of administration ? dad passed 8/3/2010 Can they apply for letters of administration before me, I do have a lawyer handling this for me, but I fell maybe they have applied for administration before me. Can they do this ?

If a will exists, they cannot apply for letters of administration as the will must be probated and only letters testamentary may be issued, which would be to you.
