Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in New York

my dad passed away 6 months ago and divided everything 50/50 between myself and my brother. he stipulated that my share be put into a trust with my brother as trustee. how do i find out where this trust is, what's in it, and how to have my brother taken off as trustee. i want to be able to access this trust fund as I please without my brother's consent.

You are entitled to a copy of the trust, and annual accountings; unless the trust requires them more often; whether it can be terminated or modified depends on the terms of the trust; it must be reviewed by a competent lawyer; get one.
