Legal Question in Criminal Law in North Carolina

My wife and I have been legally separated since 10/27/10. I started a new job and I turned in a few expense reports. Unfortunately the checks were mailed to the house where we lived and she still does. She has cashed the checks by forging my signature. So I'm out $225.00. Is this not against the law? Can I take legal actions?

That is a crime. Change the address immediately so no more checks go there.

Talk to the police or DA or go to the magistrate and take out a warrant on her for it. But get the cancelled checks from your employer so you can prove it.

Also, perhaps you can get a credit for it in the separation proceedings.
