Legal Question in Employment Law in North Carolina

Use of my photo

While employed at Motel Asset Management in Asheville, NC, I allowed my photo and career information to be posted on the company's website.

I am no longer employed there, however, my picture is still there with someone else's name posted next to it...I gave them 24 hours to remove the picture when I saw it was still there, but they still haven't removed it. What is my course of action? Thank you.

Re: Use of my photo

Did you sign any form allowing them to use the photo? If so, you're most likely out of luck. However, if you did not sign a release, I recommend that you hire a local Asheville attorney to write a letter to them. If that doesn't work, you might have a claim against them for "false light"-- using your image to promote themselves when you have no affiliation with them and do not give them the rights.
