Legal Question in Personal Injury in North Carolina

I received injuries at work in 2003 that resulted in two surgeries. I settled a small workers comp suit. I am totally disabled because of this and recently informed I must have more surgery. Can I still sue the employer right out?

No. Work comp was your only option. How did you settle it? A "clincher" or on form agreements? If you did it on form agreements, you may be able to reopen it for medical coverage. Cases arising before July 5, 1994 had lifetime medical coverage.
