Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina

9 miles over

I was caught speeding 34 in a 25 mph zone. My driving record is currently clear. Should I just pay the ticket or ask for a prayer for judgement? It has been 4 years since I have last used a prayer for judgement for a similar offense. I do not want an increase on my current insurance. What should I do?

Re: 9 miles over

If you have a spotless record as you indicated, I would pay the ticket and save the prayer for judgment. But depending on the county, you may be able to get it reduced to a non-moving violation which would be the best possible thing to do aside from a dismissal.
