Legal Question in Workers Comp in North Carolina

employer responsibilities

I have an employee who was injuired on the job, has been out of work for 15 months. She has been released to return to work, but can only use her left hand. She can no longer do her previous job with these limitations. What can I do? I don't have any positions available with these limitatons

You do not have to offer the injured worker a position if you cannot reasonably accomodate her limitations. Tell the comp carrier and let them assign a vocational consultant to assist in locating suitable alternate employment.
