Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in North Dakota

Early Lease Termination

My Landlord and I do not get along and they live next door so we can't really avoid eachother. They have agreed to let me out of my lease, but they said a Lawyer has to write up a termination agreement, even though we have agreed with eachother. They said that I would be responsible for any of the lawyer fees involved, which is an unknown amount of money. Should I agree to this or is it neccesary to have a lawyer write this agreement up

Re: Early Lease Termination

Instead of getting sued for balance of lease, paying their atty for drafting the termination agreement is small change.

Shouldn't take more than 2-3 hours of legal time, and experienced attys charge $250-400/hour.

You should have your OWN atty review to protect your interests.
