Help Please

I cosigned a mortgage for my daughter and son-in-law. The loan is in foreclosure. Can he file a quick claim deed with qualifing assumptions,willmy name be removed from the mortgage loanif notorized?Themortgage co. told me to do this and I won't be responsible for the mortgage. Is this true? Please rsvp asap .

Re: Help Please

You will be released from the mortgage obligation only if the lender releases you in writing from the mortgage note. Changing title does nothing, as the mortgage lien attaches to the property, not the owner.
