Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

Death with no will and you live with that person and not married

My mother lives with a man and he has no will. He has no children, previous wife is dead. His home is paid for and has no debt. My mother has alot of belongings in this home and is worried about what will happen to her if he passes (he is 76 years old and not heatlthy and refuses medical help). What will her rights be in regards to her belongings and how much time will she have to find another home. Thank You.

I would strongly suggest that this man have a will to protect your mom. If there are no heirs to the estate, then she will have plenty of time to move out as long as the property taxes are paid.

Good luck!!
