Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Ohio

Being left out of a will

My son was not a part of his father's will. His half sister was the only heir. My son is a child with a disability and a minor. He was dependent on his father's insurance and child support, both of which is now lost.

Aside from contacting legal defense, is there any way to contest the will on his behalf?

Re: Being left out of a will

I highly recommend that you talk directly to an attorney about this as soon as possible. There are time limits that must be met if you are going to contest the will.

If child support is an issue, your son may have other rights that can be enforced against the estate. You may find that there is some legal assistance available based on your son's disability.

I will be happy to discuss this with you in more detail if you want to give me a call. In any event, you should call an talk to an attorney as soon as possible.

Good Luck!!

This may not be as effective as hiring an attorney, but write a letter to the probate court challenging the will and asking for a hearing.
