My husband passed away in June, we were seperated. Who is responsable for filing his taxes this year?

His executor should prepare and file his taxes.

But of course that begs the question of who

should be his executor, if any.

If he did not have a will, and you are not

formally divorced, then you would be the most

likely person to become executor. However, it

is possible for you to refuse to serve, in which

case another family member might step up and

qualify as executor.
