Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Oregon

I let this girl live in my house for a year to help her and me . I have my dog ,Layla, who amber (the girl) really liked. well I'm a live-in care giver and work 3 days a week so amber would take care of my dog while i worked.by taking her to the vets for me when i could not. well two month's ago amber went to los vagus and came back last night with a police offercer and paper in hand with her name all over Layla shot records . I really was trying to help amber even got her to do a term of collage. but there are thing in her life that she can not over come. please help,

You do not state what you want. I assume you want to keep the dog.

You do not state what happened last night. Did the police take the dog from you?

All dogs are required to be licensed in virtually every county and city in Oregon. You should therefore have a license for the dog, made out to you, the owner. Take the license document to the police and ask them to get your dog back for you.
