Re: nofication for leaving employment

Employment is "at will" meaning the employer can terminate and the employee can leave at any time for any reason. While it is courteous to give notice, it is not required. If you quit without notice, the employer is not required to provide a final paycheck for 5 days, whereas if you give at least 48 hours notice, you are required to be paid when you leave. Penalties attach if the final pay is paid late.
