Legal Question in Consumer Law in Pennsylvania

I bought a house in 2002. It was appraised and inspected by people thru my agent. It is basically on the verge of being condemed. Had a home owner's ins. adjustor out who said he cannot believe a bank actually approved a loan on the house for the condition that it was in and had to be back when I bought the house. There are many major things wrong with the house that were not known to me when I purchased. They were not disclosed to me nor were they mentioned in the inspection report. Do I have any recourse? If so how should I pursue this.

Thank you!

When were the problems discovered? You generally have 5 years to sue from the date of the alleged violation. I cannot answer whether the statute is tolled in your case as I do not know when you discovered the issues with the home. If it had a hole in the roof, for example, then you did not have to wait until someone told you that you have a problem. You were on notice to find out about these things.

Assuming that you can get around the statute of limitations issue, you would have possible causes of action against the seller and his realtlor for failing to disclose problems that they knew or should have known. You would also have a cause of action against the housing inspector for failing to do his job.

Talk to a real estate litigation attorney immediately to see what, if anythin g can be done at this late date.
