Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

civil suit credit card

I was served with a civil suit for credit card. The last payment I made was 9/07 and have not been able to make payments since then. I am not sure how to proceed. I am head of household, can they garnish my wages? I might be able to pay half the debt, should I call the attorney that is handling it and see what offers would be taken?

Re: civil suit credit card

If your creditor has filed suit you really ought to have legal counsel. If you'd like to contact me I'd be happy to see if I can help.

I agree with the previous answer. There are defenses in about 8 out of 10 of these credit card suits and it is important to file an answer to the Complaint. You should speak to an attorney about this.
