Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Pennsylvania

Foreclosure

Our house is in foreclosure. We have been sent the required notice from the bank. Fortunately, after being 6 months delinquent, we are able to pay back all the money. I called the lender and they have given me an amount to pay.

Should I just pay that amount and be done with it or is it more complicated than that? If I should, will I be restored wholly to the point I was before the delinquency/foreclosure and/or should I be asking the lender for something in writing?

Re: Foreclosure

Just ask the mortage company to send or fax you the amount which is required to bring your account current. You should then pay it. If they will not send that to you, write down the name of the person you spoke with who gave you the amount, and the date & time, & keep it in case there is a problem.

Re: Foreclosure

Be careful when dealing with mortage companies, make sure you are not paying any unecessary fees, also if you are paying the mortage up to date you should be okay banks do not want to take property unless they have to.
