Re: About Being An Attorney

The best part of my job as a lawyer is getting to help people. I also enjoy the puzzles that come up in the various cases and hunting for clues to figure out what happened. The worst part is that a lot of people have no respect for lawyers. While there are bad lawyers who give our profession a bad name their are many hard working, caring and conciencious people doing the job. I became a lawyer because I wanted to be a trial lawyer. Most of the work a lawyer does is out of court. If you want to be a trial attorney a District attorney or Criminal defense attorney is the way to go, but still 90% of criminal matters are plea bargained.
