Legal Question in DUI Law in Pennsylvania

Confused on statue of limitations

I am confused-I was involved in a minor traffic accident back in Sept. 05. I was taken for a BAC--which I know I passed as I was not drinking. Turned out to be medical--seizures. Because of the seizure that I had, I did not answer the police correctly. They said they were going to charge me with a possible DUI and lying to police. To this date (June 20,2006) I have not heard or received anything from the police/DA notifying me of any charges against me. Would this case fall in the one year period to file charges? Or the 2 year look back? And if it is the one year period--do I need to do anything to make sure these charges are not pending?

Re: Confused on statue of limitations

The statute is five years. If they don't charge you or have a warrant out for you after one year, however, I estimate the chances are over 90% that you're in the clear.
