Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

child support

My husband signed a paper saying that he wouldn't take his ex-wife to court for child support. His son has lived with us since I met my husband and the mother very rarely sees him and she never calls him. As of right now it has been 7 months since she has seen him, this is by her choice. Will the paper he signed hold up in court?
