Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Child Support and Parental Rights

Can child support be retroacted back to a child's date of birth? My daughter is 2 months old. Can I have him voluntarily give up his rights and still pay child support

Re: Child Support and Parental Rights

Child support goes back to the date of filing.

The only way the father's rights may be terminated is if the child is being adopted. The courts will not make a child an orphan. If his parental rights are terminated his obligation to support is also terminated.
