Legal Question in Family Law in Pennsylvania

Hi,

I would like to divorce my husband. However, I understand that in my state we have to wait 2 years because he is not in agreement. We live together which complicates things and our lease is up in July. My question is two fold, would I be able to sign another lease without him? Secondly, he has been emotionally abusive for the entire marriage and uses Christianity as his backup. This morning, as has happened several times, he proceeded to harass me by telling me that my sould would end up in hell and that I need to repent. This is not only very annoying, but I have three children (he is not their father) and I am very tired of subjecting them to this. He is super controlling. He knows this. He has admitted this. Police have been called to my home twice because of his temper and the things I have had to endure. So my second question is would I be able to file a harrassment charge?

If you add a fault ground you might be able to get divorced in less than 2 years.

As to his harassment if he puts you in fear of your life you could get a protection from abuse order.

What you need to do is consult a lawyer to see what you actually do about you situation.
