My husband walked out. Can the locks be changed on the doors ?

No. The marital home remains marital property until the court orders a distribution of the marital assets, which means that you both have right to access the home and have a financial interest in the home until the divorce claim is settled.

However, there is a process through the divorce where your attorney could petition the court and ask that you be given exclusive possession of the marital home which would evict your huband while the divorce proceedings are pending. I would need more information though to be able to determine the likelyhood of success of such a petition.
