FMLA - adoption

I live in NJ but work in PA...are the laws the same? I want to take FMLA and want to know if I have up to 1 year to take it after receiving my child...

The FMLA is a federal law. This means that it is basically the same in each state. However, there may be some variations in individual states related to the decisions of judges in the area implementing the law.
