Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Trans World Entertainment retail theft

I was an Asst. Manager. An associate used a gift card of mine to buy 2 used CDs and then took them to another FYE and returned them as new. We were both fired and now I got a bill in the mail ($200). On the bill it states that I took merchandise without paying and that this money is owed because of retail theft. I called the people who sent me the bill (a mediation company) and she said it was because I bought a product using my employee discount and returned it without giving the employee discount money back. I wrote back to the mediator saying that the DM took all of the receipts and product and that the associate bought the product and returned the product. I said that her signature was on return slip. I said that if I admitted anything to anyone that day it was to try to lessen the blow to the associate. I also wrote that they defamed my character because in the letter it says I took product without paying and they admitted that this has nothing to do with me. I also said that the DM owes me an apology because the company didn't give me benefits or a raise even though they promised it to me 2 months before I was terminated (when I was promoted). What is my next step when they say I still owe the money?
