Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Pennsylvania

Just wanted to get my car painted

I dropped off my car to be painted. The shop manager quoted me $1,200 to $1,500 and I agreed. It's been over 5 months and the car is stll not done and now he's telling me that it's gone over $2,000 and he has damaged some engine parts in the process. To top it off, the paint job is not what we discussed. What can I do?

Re: Just wanted to get my car painted

Car repairs are highly regulated in Pennsylvania. So there are some remedies you might not be aware of.

You can complain to the consumer protection department of the Attorney General of Pennsylvania.

You can also sue. The first you might want to try a demand letter to the shop and see how they respond.
