Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

In December of 2010, I was diagnosed with uterine cancer. I needed surgery to have a complete hysterectomy to remove the cancer. I am on medical leave right now recovering. My job is as a contracted teacher for a school independent school. I was told that I would be receiving full pay while I was gone. Last week I received an email stating that I would only be receiving half pay. I also received another email on the same day stating that at the end of the school year I would not be invited back due to my not being able to secure health insurance. Four days later I received an email stating that I should not come back when my medical leave is over. Do I have any legal rights? Should I contact a lawyer?

This is a complex area of the law and it would require inquiry into the timing of events as well as documentation of your claim. Should you wish to have a consultation on this matter, kindly contact my office (215-348-4283) to schedule a meeting.
