Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

Disability

I have worked for this company for 18 yrs. They let me go yesterday because they said they have no more work for me due to my restrictions. They told me I could collect sick pay for 6 months and apply for other jobs there that would

meet my restrictions. Sick pay? I am not sick I just can't do certain things due to arthritis. Is this a common practice among employers? I am stunned to say the least.

It seems they are getting rid of anyone who has a disability of any kind. What are my options?

Re: Disability

If what you are saying is true, you are the victim of illegal discrimination because of your disability/restrictions. Employers are required to reasonably accomodate your disability.

Contact me if you'd like to discuss this matter and your options further.
