Discrimination in the workplace

I am trying to switch to the shipping department,i have proprer forklift certification, and seniority. I was told point blank by my supervisor, ON women will ever work in his department!. The owner stated i must have the chance, but the foreman is going to test me for 1 day , including - climbing 3 tears high and carying 100 lbs. of sugar back down. ????? Also physically pushing a 500 lbs. drum across the wharehouse???? Other forklift drivers in the plant didn't have to do this to get their jobs. We even have a driver that ran thru a wall, costing 10,000 $ in repairs, but i was told if i hit anything i am done!. Please Help : Thank You.

On the facts as you describe, there is sexual discrimination in the workplace. You should go to the local office of the Pa Human Relations Commission and file a complaint. If I can be of any assistance, call or email.
