Legal Question in Employment Law in Pennsylvania

I was fired because my son was arrested for allegedly being involved in an illegal activity, which my employer said I should have known about. I am an appointed public official, my firing was published in the paper, with defaming comments from my employer. Do I have grounds for a lawsuit? I live in PA.

Contact a local empolyment lawyer who represents employees. Consultations are ordinarily free. Your local Bar Association may have a lawyer referral service. If it does not, you locality will be served by the referral service maintained by the Pennsylvania Bar Association. It looks like you may have a case to be pursued.
