I was hurt in walmart by a customer is there a time limit to this type of injuy? I was injured at the end of Oct. by a motorized scooter and now I may be facing a torn meniscus and possibly need surgery.

I assume you were also a customer and not an employee of Walmart in which case Workman's comp might also apply. You generally have two years from the date of the injury to file a lawsuit. You should certainly put the potenital defendants on notice Walmart and the customer who struck you. If you would like to discuss the matter with me feel free to contact my office. It would be wise to have legal representation in this serious matter.

First, did you report it to Walmart? It's very important that they at least identifed the customer. We would need more facts, but if you were hurt on the premises you may be entitled to med pay by walmart. Feel free to call our offices: 267.639.3105.

Your question shows that you're concerned with the amount of time you have to file suit. However, I think your primary concern should be making certain you are getting the proper medical treatment and identifying who the driver of the scooter was. Generally, Pennsylvania gives you 2 years to file suit. IMHO, you should hire an experienced personal injury attorney to guide you through this confusing matter so that when it is time to ask for money, you'll have the ammunition you need to win all you're entitled to. All experienced personal injury attorneys will charge you a percentage of your settlement, and you won't have to pay any money up front. Getting the right attorney on your side, now, will be the best investment you'll make in 2010. Do it now, not later. Please feel free to call and discuss. Thank you.
