Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

Child custody

I am facing issues with child custody with my husband. I moved to north carolina from south carolina for better job opportunities due to college graduation. I have 4 kids and all of them was there until i moved here and got my job and house set up. My oldest two was at there god mother while the younger one was at their grandparents. The grandparents had knowledge of me moving here because we talked about it a lot. Since then, they moved the father into the house of who has a very back criminal background and was abusive to me in our marriage. I am trying to seek custody rights because he won't let me get my kids, see or talk to them. I am so afraid of him. When I call, all I get is cursed at or hollered at and hung up on. The kids was with me since they was born while he ran the streets and used drugs and being in and out of prision. They are trying to say I neglect my kids when all they wanted to do was keep them for the summer. Will the law be on my side for custody until we get a divorce?

Re: Child custody

Custody cases are very fact specific, and while you listed some facts about your case, it is not possible to make a prediction about the outcome of your case without knowing much, much more information.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
