Legal Question in Family Law in South Carolina

My husband walked out on me a little over a week ago He left me broke, a pile of bills and no food in the house. I live in South Carolina and he went to another woman in Minnesota. Do I have any rights?

You can file an action against him in Family Court and ask the Court to require him to assist you with the debts, pay spousal support, etc. In other words, he only gets away with walking away if you let him do so.

These are complex issues, and it is important that they be handled correctly. Therefore, it is important that you consult an experienced family law attorney to find out what options are available to you based on the facts of your particular case.
