Parental custody of minor child
My daugter lives is VA. Husband threatening to take son and leave her. Can she legally take her son and leave him now and come to SC to our house and file for custody of him in SC?

She needs to consult with an attorney in Virginia. If they have lived there for any considerable length of time, VA will have jurisdiction over the custody issues.
