Signing Away Rights

the father of my child has not seen her in almost 10 years, she's 11. he has said that he doesn't want to be apart of her life. his name is on the birth certificate. how do i go about getting him to sign away his parental rights? will i need a lawyer or is there forms i can get him to sign?

The only way that his parental rights can be terminated is by a Judge ordering that it be done. They typically will not terminate a parent's rights unless someone else is adopting the child.
