Dog bite to face of my three year old child.

My three year old son was bitten in the face by a friend's pet. He received over eighty stitches and will requirefutere surgery. What formula is used to calcuate a reasonable settlement for pain and suffering in this situation?

There is no one particular fomula. First of all, you havn't said anything about how this happened, so I can't assess liability. That is always a factor because sometimes people are more liable for what happened than other times. Its still hard to tell because I don't know what medical procedures he has already gone through, in addition to the stitiches, nor do I know the cost of the plastic surgery, how many surgeries there will be, what that will involve, and most importantly, what type of residual scarring there will be. These considerations and many other have to be factored in to reach a reasonable settlement value. There is no one particular formular.
