Legal Question in Personal Injury in South Carolina

Is homeowner liable?

My husband works part time for Pizza Hut. About a month ago he delivered to a house in the rain that did not have hand rails on the stairs. The stairs were made of a slick type of rock and he fell very hard after delivering the pizza. No one at the house saw him fall but he told his manager at Pizza Hut as soon as he got back to the store. He scratched his arm up pretty good and had a a couple of bruises on his tail bone for several weeks after. He never went to a Dr. but he was in a lot of pain for some time. My question is, could the homeowners be held responsible for not having railings on the stairs even though they were never notified of the fall?

Re: Is homeowner liable?

There is no legal requirement that a person must immediately notify a property owner of an accident.
