Legal Question in Personal Injury in South Carolina

Loss Wages

Hello,

I was involved in an accident in which I had torn cartlidges between two ribs. I submitted a loss wages claim to be reimbursed. The adjuster told me that he could only reimburse the amount minus any tax which would have been withheld. Is this a common practice. Also, he would not accept signed documents from my employer. He needs them to fill out their form and he does not want to pay me for any vacation time I used.

Please advise.

Thank you.

Re: Loss Wages

That's why people hire lawyers to deal with insurance companies. They don't HAVE to do anything unless ordered by a court. My adive is to keep arguing with the insurance company until you are satisfied with the results you get, or retain an attorney to file suit. Good Luck. Robert Johnston 843-828-1137
