Legal Question in Traffic Law in South Carolina

will current arrest affect challenging habitual offender status

I was given habitual offender status in May 2004. I have everything in order to challenge the status now, including the paperwork. I unfortunately was arrested last week and charged with a possible felony (pwi). Will that affect my challenge to get my drivers license back, even if it was not a traffic violation?

It could. You are still entitled to a hearing, but the decision is up to the hearing officer.
