Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Child Support Issue when child has dropped out of school & has own child

My Husband has a 16 yr old Daughter from a previous marriage who he pays child support for. She dropped out of school in the 9th grade & has since had a child of her own. She is living with the Father of the child, but we still send the child support to the Mother. We do believe that she is receiving the support, but we are tired of paying the child support due to the fact that she is living like an adult, has a child of her own, and is receiving welfare on top of it all. We have a suspicion that she may have secretly married the Father of her child because she has cut off all contact with us (i.e. she doesn't want us to find out). Is there any way we can find out 1)if she got married, 2)what are our legal responsibilities to continuing to pay this support, and 3)what are the laws if the child is no longer in school?

Child support is to be paid until the child turns 18 or graduates from high school whichever occurs last. To stop the child support payments, you will have to petition the court to terminate the payments.

As far as whether or not she is married call the state of Tennessee Dept of Viatal Satitics to see if there is a record of the marriage. If she is married, she would have had to apply for a marriage license.
