Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

Do grandparents have legal right to see grandchild?

My husband & I lived with his Mom. She got mad at us and made us leave not knowing if we had a place to go or not & I am pregnant. She has repeatedly done things to intentionally harrass my husband & me & my parents. My husband called her to tell her to leave us alone & that we do not want our baby to be around her boyfriend, not her just we don't want the baby around the boyfriend. She is threatning now to take us to court if she has to so that they will be able to see our baby. We have only known the man for about 1 1/2 years and he was a trucker that my mother-in-law met divorced my husband's Dad and moved this new man into her house. The man has said perverted things to me and we just won't feel comfortable or safe with him around the baby. Can she legally make us let her see the baby with the boyfriend being there?

Re: Do grandparents have legal right to see grandchild?

In Tennessee, grandparents do have certain rights. However, will the court allow visitation with grandma with boyfriend being there is another question? It depends of particular facts. Impossible to know what the court will do on the facts you've given.
