Legal Question in Family Law in Tennessee

selling a property when the joint owner refuses

The court ordered that a jointly owned timeshare be sold and the money split following a divorce. My ex says he will not sell it. Is there something that I can do, should I receive an offer, without his cooperation? It is in both of our names and he has been using it to obtain more loans while my child and I are struggling financially.

If the court ordered it and he does not comply, there are actions you can take to force him to comply with the court order. You may have to file a petition for contempt if he will not comply. You should consult with an attorney in person to look at the facts of your case for the best route.
