Answering a Summons

How can I respond to a summons (I'm being sued) pro se? Is general denial a legit way to respond? Does the Plantiff's attorneys need a legal copy of my response?

Yes, and yes, unless the entity being sued is a corporate entity. Send copies of all pleadings to opposing counsel by certified mail.
