Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

auto loan

I co-signed on an auto for husband in 99. We divorced

in 2001. I have auto loan w/ same credit union, and

have never been late. Ex-husband is 4 months behind

on his loan and cannot be located. I know divorce

decree doesn't supercede contract, and that I am still

respon., but what are my options since I cannot locate

him. I have been extremely cooperative w/ C.U. in trying

to locate him and now they are threatening ''boldily

attachment'' (said I could go to jail) if truck not returned

for repo. What are my options?

Re: auto loan

Your only option is to make the payments if you can't locate the truck. And tell them that threatening criminal charges to gain a benefit in a civil matter is illegal.
