Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Texas

what are my options to combat a debt collection from Direct tv, of which the account i never set up. I found out that my ex did so without my permission in 2005 after i left there in 2004 I lived in Missouri Valley Iowa at the time.

Dispute any mention on a credit report..and write collector
